The Canine Inspection Process:

Initial K9 Sweep: Trained dogs sniff out microbial volatile organic compounds (mVOCs) in real-time without tearing down drywall.

Professional Assessment:
A Certified Residential Mold Inspector will follow up on the dog's alerts and conduct diagnostic testing using moisture meters, thermal imaging cameras, and suggest physical lab testing (ERMI collects 90 day dust sampling) to confirm the type of mold and trace potential water intrusion. All data is mapped to where the Mold Dog of SC has alerted.
Clients will receive a detailed report with suggested, step-by-step remediation protocol. We also suggest local businesses who follow clean air best practice recommendations in containment, removal and remediation services
Additional Services
We offer assistance in ERMI (Environmental Relative moldiness Index) sampling, which is a lab based DNA test that measures mold in household dust developed by the US EPA to identify and quantify specific mold species present in your home. Combining this lab-confirmed data with a location-specific inspection report will guide your remediation planning efforts, creating a more comprehensive assessment.
A glimpse into the future: South Carolina Mold Dog will also be launching a N4P to assist children who have neurological symptoms of mold sickness in accessing clean air machines.

CRMI Mold Inspection

It will map out moisture locations and readings throughout your home. It will further analyze EMRI results and propose a remediation protocol that fits your ability to remediate your home.

Mold Detection Dog
